Factory Warehouse Manager

Sharps Bedrooms is the UK’s market leader of fitted bedroom and home office furniture with over 700 employees and a network of showrooms across the UK.  An excellent opportunity has arisen within our factory in Wolverhampton for a Warehouse Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has the experience or skills to manage a team of people who work across our 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pmshift.

Reporting directly to the Factory Operations Manager, you will be required to lead and motivate a team of 17 people, with the help of a shift leader. You will be required to oversee the delivery, storage and dispatch of product to other departments and our customers. You will need to meet the Company’s Key Performance Indicators within budget and at the same time, ensure Sharps deliver a quality service through your team.

You will be self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills and have the ability to motivate your team to effectively run the shift.  You will need a “hands on approach” resolving any problems as they arise. You will be a positive individual, who is computer literate and have strong interpersonal skills giving you the ability to motivate the team and communicate at all levels both orally and in writing.

The successful applicant will need to have a proven track record managing a team in a warehousing environment and therefore understand the importance of stock availability, effective stock rotation, effective space utilisation, reconciliation for accounting and stocktaking purposes and how warehousing fits in to the overall production chain.

Salary                                    -           Circa £30k depending on experience.  

Hours                                     -           Monday-Friday 8am until 4pm, with the need for flexibility when business needs dictate.
