Production Manager (Run-Outs)

Sharps Bedrooms is the UK’s market leader of fitted bedroom and home office furniture with over 700 employees and a network of showrooms across the UK.  An excellent opportunity has arisen within our manufacturing operation in Wolverhampton for a Manager to lead our ‘Run-outs’ operation. This small team work within our production operation dealing with immediate response production where we need to fulfil an unexpected need in one or more of our ‘live’ installations around the country to meet customer expectation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has the experience or skills to manage a team of people who produce and pack our product on a daily basis, therefore helping to achieve our goal of providing first class service. This product could be anything from missing hardware, such as hinges to cutting and edging a complete new wardrobe door.

Reporting directly to the Senior Run-outs Manager, you will be required to lead and motivate a team of up to 20 people, with the support of a supervisor and shift leader. You will need to meet the Company’s Key Performance Indicators within budget and at the same time, ensure Sharps deliver a quality production service, through your team.

You will be self-motivated, with excellent planning and organisational skills and have the ability to motivate your team to run the production effectively for the shift.  You will need a “hands on approach” resolving any problems on the shift as they arise. You will need to be a positive individual, who is computer literate and have strong interpersonal skills giving you the ability to motivate the team and communicate at all levels both orally and in writing.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have a proven track record managing a team in a production or factory environment.
