Allen’s unused space had the perfect potential to be transformed into a dream dressing room that housed all of their clothing and belongings.
With cornered wardrobes, an island and also a dressing table to get ready at, we couldn’t think of a dressing space that could be any dreamier. The empty and unused space was transformed into a beautifully organised dressing room with ample storage and a prime spot for getting ready.

“When Allen came to Sharps, he had a large empty space he wanted to fill that was leading from the bedroom and it was only fitting that it was used as a dressing space. We added cornered wardrobes to maximise the space as much as possible, whilst including coordinating furniture such as a dressing table.
We soon realised that as the space was relatively large, adding an island unit with cupboards in the middle of the room would help fill the space and create more of a dressing room feel. Once we incorporated this into the space, it transformed the room completely.
The Shaker range was what Allen envisioned for the space with its timeless design, ultimately complementing the rest of the house’s style and we were both pleased with the final outcome.”

Q&A Allen Says:
How did you come to choose Sharps for your wardrobes? Did you see us advertised anywhere / previous customer?
We chose Sharps bedrooms on the back of television advertising.
Why did you decide to get fitted wardrobes in your home?
When we weighed up the options of getting our own furniture and building it versus getting our own contractor or going with Sharps, we felt that choosing Sharps would give us the best quality with the least amount of hassle and on reflection, it was the best outcome!
Were there any awkward spaces that you needed to fit around?
The room was a generous space to fill, but it did leave us with a lot of spare/unused floor space, which gave us the idea of having an island unit, this changed the whole aspect of the room, as we were able to source our own centrepiece for the island – which gives a great focal point and symmetry to the room. We also wanted a dresser unit, but it had to be a certain width and length in order to fit in the corner of the room.
How was your design appointment?
Fantastic, the chap who attended was helpful and even came to visit me at my work ( at my request ) to make some amends in the days following. I was particularly impressed with how the quote was presented with the hand-drawn perspective drawing.
How was the fitting and the rest of the process?
It was really good, the communication from the central office was good, with updates when the woodwork was ready. As we were doing lots of work, they were able to move the fitting back a couple of times as we weren’t quite ready – this was very helpful. The delivery drivers were exceptionally polite and worked hard lugging all the kit in and up the stairs, taking particular care when bringing it in, including laying dust sheets on the stairs. The fitter was also a great guy, worked his socks off and was able to sort a couple of minor amends/bits last minute at my request. I had a socket fitted without consideration of the dresser – but he worked around it and made it good.
Why did you choose the Shaker range in Slate?
Our house is quite old and the shaker range fits the overall fee of the house, we have done our kitchen in a very similar style, so it all compliments each other. The handles were a bit trickier, but it was good to have a choice for this and I was able to call back the next day to make this decision as I wanted a night to sleep on this.
What interiors did you choose for your wardrobes?
Due to the corner units we were able to get, we managed to get double-hanging rail space in both corners, giving us huge amounts of space to hang our clothes. The remaining space was a nice balance of shelves and drawers, giving us the perfect dressing room.
