It was Steph’s dream to design a beautiful nursery space for her little boy, creating a calming atmosphere where everything had its place.
His little shoes, t-shirts and teddies were too adorable to be hidden solely in drawers and so Steph wanted a good amount of storage that would let her admire them at her leisure. But the storage had to be practical too, adapting to her son’s needs as he got older.

Why did you choose sharps?
I’ve used Sharps to furnish a dressing room, living room media wall and study, so it was an easy decision based on the quality of work to use sharps again for the nursery wardrobes.
Tell us about your design visit?
The design visit was brilliant. This is the third designer we’ve worked with and all of them have understood what we were looking to achieve. This time, the designer had creative suggestions to bring my vision to life - both aesthetically and practically given how we wanted to use the space for our baby to grow into.
What was the main issue that you were trying to solve with sharps fitted furniture?
We were looking for extra storage for clothes and toys. We also wanted to create an alcove for some rustic shelving and the sharps cupboards in shaker look perfect underneath.
Were there any awkward spaces in your room?
No awkward spaces but we did have a window quite close to the wall where the run of furniture was to be fitted. The best option here was to drop down from floor to ceiling to lower cupboards to create the change in height. It was great seeing this come to life on the cad drawings before paying our deposit.
Tell us about your fitting experience?
Fitting experience was great - we’ve always found the quality of sharps fitters to be of a high standard. Great attention to detail and personable to have in our home.
How would you describe your interior style and how does your finished design reflect this?
Our interior style is classic contemporary so shaker was the right choice for us. We already had shaker in slate and also dove, so it was great to keep the same style but have another choice of colour for the nursery.
What do you love most about your sharps furniture?
I love the quality and finish of sharps furniture. Being machine manufactured, you get the perfect finish - one that is hard to achieve with a paint brush! My favourite part is the internal drawers and pull down rail - perfect for longer items.
What are you most looking forward to making beautifully organised?
The rail space was the most fun to organise! Baby clothes are beautiful and it has been really special to see on display the range of clothes for our little boy. It makes choosing an outfit a calm part of the day.
Why would you recommend sharps?
I would recommend sharps due to the quality, workmanship and the 12 year warranty is also reassuring. We’ve used this once before in another room and sharps customer service was fantastic!
