“It was clear from looking at Andrew’s home that Sharps could unlock so much more hidden potential.
The living room had an alcove that was perfect for a large bookcase, creating a bold accent to their interior. Likewise, their under-stairs area was under-utilised, so we extended the shelving here for extra practicality.
Finally, a mix of dwarf cupboards and shelving in their second bedroom now provides convenient storage that neatly hugs their sloped ceiling.

How did you find Sharps?
We first went into the store in Farnham.
Were there any awkward spaces in your room?
Yes. Sloped ceilings and narrow alcoves.
Describe your interior style. Does your finished design reflect this?
Our style is pretty minimal but with a lot more colour now than we’ve used before. We have simple furniture in a mid-century modern style to suit our 50s house. Sharps had the colours and simple finishes that we were looking for and it all works well. We chose the same colour for all the jobs we had done so there’s a consistency throughout the house which we’re delighted with and we’ve had lots of compliments on!
What do you love most about your Sharps furniture?
It fits! And it looks smart and it does what it says it will do. It’s also sturdy and reliable.
What is your favourite part of your fitted furniture?
Our wall of bookshelves on top of dwarf cupboards in our spare room. It’s so smart and sumptuous to have all those books in one place. In Teams meetings when I’m working at home several colleagues have commented on my ‘background’ and can’t believe it when I tell them the shelves are real!
