Transforming sloped ceilings in a contemporary new-build home
Returning customer, Emma, wanted to maximise every millimetre of space on her top-floor bedroom in her contemporary home. With a few sloped ceilings and awkward angles, Emma knew she had to return to Sharps to help bring her vision to life.
Emma and her husband needed storage space for their clothes and belongings but also wanted their wardrobes to be the focal point of the bedroom and add a statement. This is where Sharps comes in!

Q&A Emma Says:
How did you come to choose Sharps for your wardrobes?
My husband and I had previously used Sharps before in our previous house. We had 3 wardrobes fitted and were really impressed with the quality, so knew we would use them again in the future. We moved into a new build in January 2021 and desperately needed storage and wardrobe space. We immediately contacted Sharps for a consultation, knowing the quality of service and products we would be getting.
Why did you decide to get fitted wardrobes in your home?
Our bedroom is on the top floor of our house and due to the space containing a slanted ceiling, we knew we needed a specially made wardrobe that would fit the space, as well as giving us a lot of storage.
Were there any awkward spaces that you needed to fit around?
Apart from the slanted ceiling, there were not any awkward spaces.
How was your design appointment?
We had a really friendly and helpful designer called Mark at our appointment. He knew the products well & took the time to explain the process and the options available to us. As we were not decided on what range we wanted at that point, he also went through ideas that may appeal to us, based on the decor in our house.
How was the fitting and the rest of the process?
The fitter that came to our house, and fitted 3 wardrobes in total, was a friendly, efficient and tidy worker. He arrived on time and completed the wardrobes ahead of schedule and to a very high quality. We were impressed by just how good the wardrobes looked and how much storage we were able to have. The fitter was also able to keep all our plug sockets available, which was a big plus as we were concerned that, due to the large size of the room, we would be left with one side of our bedroom with no available sockets. We were expecting the fitter to be with us for around a week; however, he was done in 2.5 days.
Why did you choose Hampton range in Slate?
In our previous house we had chosen white plain wardrobes and for our children’s wardrobes in our new house, we had chosen plain white again. However, as most of our bedroom contains grey furniture, this time we decided to go for a change. We chose the Hampton range as we had been looking at getting a panelled wall and this range was a similar look. We were really happy with our choice and anyone who visits our house immediately comments on how different they are.
What interiors did you choose for your wardrobes?
We decided to choose the same interior for our wardrobes that we had in our previous Sharps wardrobes. We went for double rails and shelves as we found this the best way to store all our clothes and shoes.
