When doing up their master bedroom, Mrs Hunter and her husband wanted to make the most of the built-in storage area they had. So, they called on Sharps to design fitted wardrobes that would maximise the space they had and work around their bedroom's awkward slopes.
With a built-in storage area at the end of their bedroom, the Hunters wanted to the make the most of the space they had but needed help. Mrs Hunter told us: “The sectioned off built-in storage area had a door in the middle and sloping ceilings. The main part of our bedroom also had one sloping ceiling, making it an awkward shape”.
Between them, the Hunters had a lot of items that they wanted to store. So, they thought carefully about their new wardrobes: “We wanted to ensure that storage space was maximised. I might have too many clothes, but it was important that everything fitted in, which just wouldn’t have been possible with freestanding wardrobes”.
With freestanding wardrobes out of the question, fitted wardrobes were the best choice for the Hunters. And after seeing a TV ad, they decided that Sharps were the perfect match for them: “We wanted a company that specialised in fitted wardrobes, with a bespoke service and the guarantee that they’d last years”. With their minds set on Sharps, they arranged a free home design visit with one of our design experts.

We had no problem working around the Hunters’ built-in storage area: “Our home design visit was great. Not only did the designer say it would be possible to create what we had in mind, he suggested a number of enhancements and took on all our requirements. It was a luxury to have the space designed around our needs”. Once they were happy with the designs, we got to making their dream fitted wardrobes a reality.
Sharps designed fitted wardrobes for the Hunters’ main area of their bedroom as well as in the built-in storage area, giving them double the storage and maximising the whole space. The run of fitted wardrobes featured mirrored doors and a combination of long and double hanging. And it incorporated the doors of the existing built-in storage area, creating a walk in wardrobe. Drawers, shelves and additional hanging rails were added inside the walk in wardrobe, giving everything its own place. And sensor-lights were fitted along with an internal mirror, meaning the space could be used as dressing room.
