Our Collaboration With Interiors Blogger, Heather Young

After working with our experts to plan how the Henley room-set would take shape by sharing ideas on Pinterest, interiors blogger and decorating expert, Heather Young, was invited down to Baker Street to work her makeover magic.

The previous display had a relaxed coastal theme, however wanting to give it an on-trend update, Sharps collaborated with Heather to take it to the next level in the style stakes.

Taking inspiration from current trends, combined with her own personal flair, Heather opted for a muted colour palette of blush pinks and soft greys to create a chic and understated scheme. These classic hues formed one of the stand-out features of the room – the contemporary feature wall, styled with a bold, pink and grey geometric wallpaper.

Adding further impact to the feature wall, are the strategically placed, eclectic frames, displaying vintage photographs and nature prints to help bring the outside in, in an ode to ‘the gallery wall’, which has been a key style statement in 2016.

Another particularly ‘wow’ feature of the space, is the stunning fitted window seat, complete with cup handles. This aspirational addition, is available with all of our fitted bedroom ranges and provides additional storage plus a place to relax and cosy up with a good book.

With layering being a recurring theme throughout this season, Heather ensured that the bed – which was fitted with one of Sharps’ bespoke headboards – was stacked with throw cushions aplenty, sumptuous pillows, a fluffy duvet and a delicate, crocheted blanket to complete the look.

Less was definitely more when it came to accessories, with Heather simply adding a succulent plant and antique-style pieces such as a vintage cotton reel and distressed books, very much in-keeping with the Artisan trend (see our blog on ‘The Artisan Interiors Movement).

So why not come and visit Sharps, Baker Street, or one of our other welcoming and fashion-forward showrooms to take style ‘inspo’ from the Henley range and other beautiful collections.
