Kristy was dreaming of blending a home office and playroom to create a place the whole family could enjoy.
Choosing the right style was essential. It had to have a vibrant feel to make it fun and engaging for the children but also a timeless look that would suit a work environment. Our Willow Green paired with Shaker was the perfect choice.
Working around a large window feature, Kristy’s designer helped her to discover the perfect combination of storage, maximising every millimetre of space available.

How did you find Sharps?
We found Sharps through their Instagram content.
Why did you choose Sharps?
We chose Sharps because they had the exact style and colour choices that we were looking for and there was a lot of flexibility and options available to us. We loved the idea of designing our own bespoke fitted cupboard spaces.
Tell us about your design visit?
The design visit was in the comfort of our own home. We had lots of lovely samples to select from and during our appointment our design was digitally drawn up in front of us. This was great as it really gave us a feel of how the design would look once fitted. It also allowed us to customise shelving, hanging space, toy and shoe storage. We were even able to add a special little window seat which we always wanted.
What was the main issue that you were trying to solve with Sharps fitted furniture?
We had the idea of making our space multifunctional - a playroom and home office. So we were looking to maximise storage space and also include a desk area. It worked out perfectly as we were able to gain extra storage in places we didn’t think we would, which allowed us to add the desk area too.
Were there any awkward spaces in your room?
We have a triple window on the room which takes up the majority of the wall space but we were still keen to add storage. Our design allowed us to build storage underneath the window whilst also adding a super cute cushioned window seat area for us and the children to enjoy.
Tell us about your fitting experience?
The fitting experience was impressive! Firstly, all the materials were dropped off the day before work started and left neatly in the room. The fitting took 5 days to complete and was built by one man alone who was super efficient, very courteous and caused minimal disruption. The quality and finish is immaculate.
How would you describe your interior style and how does your finished design reflect this?
We would describe our style as modern/country and this is reflected in the timeless Shaker style design in the beautiful sage green colour which we’ve had so many compliments on.
What do you love most about your Sharps furniture?
We wanted something that was vibrant but also timeless. We didn’t want to go for a safe colour, we wanted a more playful colour for a playroom space. It has become one of the most used rooms in our home which we love to be in.
What is your favourite part of your fitted furniture?
Maximising storage was super important to us and we were able to customise the shelf height to fit our storage boxes for the toys. We loved having the flexibility to customise these important details in our design.
What are you most looking forward to making beautifully organised?
We were most looking forward to finally organising and having a home for all of the children’s toys, which every parent out there would fully understand!
What furniture interiors did you choose and why?
We chose shelving for the toys. A clothes rail for our coats and we also chose slide out shoe racks for all of our shoes.
