A SUMPTUOUS AND ELEGANT DESIGN
The glamorous and beautiful Josie Gibson is always in the public eye, whether it’s under the studio lights as a TV presenter or through her lively social media updates.
Josie wanted to make her fashion choices easier and needed a walk-in wardrobe with an open-fronted design so that finding her favourite pieces was quick and easy.
There was a lot of hidden potential in the space. Behind the en suite door, there was room for extra shelving and storage, while in the corner of the room, Josie wanted to add curved railing that would keep her dresses easy to hand.
Josie also wanted her fitted storage to look extra luxurious, so that the coordinating colours and organised clothes would delight her every time she stepped inside.
With the help of her good friend, home stylist Georgina Burnett, Josie collaborated with Sharps to create the walk-in wardrobe she’d always wanted.

OPTIMISING TRICKY INTERIORS
Josie’s designer took into account a number of features when creating her new fitted wardrobes.
The shape of the room itself was unusual, but they also needed to consider the position of doors leading to the en suite and landing, as well as a radiator under the window.
To make the most of every millimetre, shallow depth shelving was added behind the en suite door, cleverly providing extra room for storage boxes. In the open corner wardrobe, a curved rail also makes full use of the awkward angle while still keeping Josie’s clothes easily accessible.
The finished result combines a beautiful shoe cascade, deep shelving and hanging rails with zero wasted space, while a gorgeous fitted dressing table makes an elegant centrepiece.

How did you find Sharps?
I now know why Sharps are so popular and people love them. It was the most incredible service from start to finish. I was listened to and I got exactly what I wanted and more. The fitting was professional and easy and I was updated the whole way along.
Why did you choose Sharps?
I chose Sharps because they are the best at what they do with a fantastic reputation. They also had a brand new range of colours that I ended up choosing in the end. They work round all spaces and everyone I’ve spoken to who have used Sharps is so happy with the service.
Tell us about your design visit?
I was visited by a lovely Sharps Sales representative that listened to what I wanted but also gave me ideas on how to make the room look bigger and hold all my possessions at the same time. We both worked out what my needs were and then we strategically worked out storage solutions and hanging space. All measurements were taken there and then and we sat down together to design exactly what I wanted and chose through a huge range of colours, handles and dressing tables.
What was the main issue that you were trying to solve with Sharps fitted furniture?
The main issue was the room was a funny shape so we needed to fit as much in the space that we had. The room looked tiny before and now it looks 4 times bigger and actually holds all my belongings. I also wanted my wardrobe to be open so I could see what I have. I’m always in a rush with my job so this allows me to pack and get ready really quickly now.
Were there any awkward spaces in your room?
Yes, it’s not your standard room but nothing was an issue with Sharps. They made corner hanging space and even designed a dressing table for me so I could have everything in that space.
Tell us about your fitting experience?
I had Mike who was an absolute hero. He was so fast I was really surprised at how quick and easy the fit was. He was clean, professional, punctual and kept me updated throughout. It now looks an absolute dream. It was a pleasure having him here.
How would you describe your interior style and how does your finished design reflect this?
I would describe my interior style like a modern, high-end hotel and that’s exactly what I got. I don’t like it too feminine but not too masculine either. The space has a luxurious feel.
What do you love most about your Sharps furniture?
I like how expensive it looks. It’s such a unique beautiful colour. It looks and is total quality. All my needs and wants were listened to and I have the hanging space, draw space, storage space I’ve always needed and wanted. My dressing table is stunning and I could not ask for more.
What is your favourite part of your fitted furniture?
I would say my dressing table because of all the compartments and the deep drawer space.
What are you most looking forward to making beautifully organised?
Just to have an organised space for everything is making my life so much easier. I love organising everything and I’m currently now organising my storage boxes. There is no mess anymore as everything has a place. I could not have wished for more.
