As someone who thrives in a creative industry, we were thrilled to work with her to design a completely customised home office design.
She wanted something exciting, something that would elevate the design and create an inspiring atmosphere perfect for writing. But Candice wouldn’t be using the space alone. Her husband also needed a practical desk area for work, so together with Sharps, she created a stunning home office built for two.

Q&A Candice Says:
1. How did you find Sharps?
Sharps were actually recommend by a decluttering service I used when we moved into our new home as I wanted a walk in wardrobe for the largest room in the house. The work was far and beyond anything I ever expected.
2. Why did you choose Sharps?
It felt like a no brainer given I knew how great the finish and customer service was going to be. Having used sharps before I could be sure that the experience was going to exemplary.
3. Tell us about your design visit?
The design visit was really collaborative. The office is a small space and being guided by the design team made sure that no cupboard or shelf was left unturned. It was a quick and seamless process.
4. What was the main issue that you were trying to solve with Sharps fitted furniture?
Trying to get two work stations into a relatively tight space. And we needed as much storage as the space could muster.
5. Were there any awkward spaces in your room?
Due to the positioning of the windows, an entire wall was essentially useless. The Sharps planners showed us ways we could maximise storage space on the other three walls and honestly it feels as though we aren’t lacking for space at all. It’s also nice to have a free wall as it allows for the room to not feel claustrophobic whilst still providing us with nooks and crannies that we desired.
6. Tell us about your fitting experience?
The fitting experience was fast and professional. The fitter was extremely knowledgeable and would intermittently encourage us to come into the room to see the progression. I find Sharps fitters to be lovely and warm. Our particular fitter was also a perfectionist. Knowing that the space is in the best hands is a great feeling. It never feels as though there is a stranger in the house. Given the size of the room, the fitting was completed in a day and half and as ever the fitter made sure to give the space a good clean and polish before declaring the job was finished.
7. How would you describe your interior style and how does your finished design reflect this?
My interior style is definitely bold and impactful - no muted tones around here. The final colour is beautiful - very rich and intense. Again because the room is small, I wanted to lean into that and make it almost feel like a cave or cocoon. The room really feels like a warm hug after a long day. The lighting also adds a romantic ambience that I wasn’t expecting but I do adore.
8. What do you love most about your Sharps furniture?
Aside from the timeless design the furniture is clearly well made giving me good faith that the space will stand the test of time.
9. What is your favourite part of your fitted furniture?
Just how put together the space looks. For two years the office was essentially a dumping ground which isn’t the best place to work as before you’ve even sat at the computer you are hurdling boxes and books. Since it’s been fitted there isn’t a day that I don’t go into that space and smile - it makes me very happy.
10. What are you most looking forward to making beautifully organised?
I’m most looking forward to having a space that I can film videos and record my podcast in that feels homely but also professional. As an author I’m lucky to be sent a lot of free books. It’s so nice to have such beautiful book cases to house them in.
11. What furniture interiors did you choose and why?
I’m a sucker for shaker style furniture as I feel it’s the perfect balance between heritage and modern.
12. Would you recommend Sharps?
100% This is the second time I’ve chosen Sharps as they also fitted my dream walk in wardrobe two years ago. I’m so besotted that I’m walking around the house trying to make up things for them to do!
